How to be Alpha Chi

Attending events and talking to Alpha Chi's is a great way for us to get to know you, and you us!

  • Attend as many rush events as possible: Information Night, House Tours, Casino. 
  • Talk to Alpha Chi Members
  • ​Be genuine 
  • Be yourself

Becoming a Member of Alpha Chi means new friends and friendships for life. Along the way you'll also have fun, gain
self-confidence, communication and leadership skills. You'll also be apart of the oldest sorority in the Chico community.

Recruitment Attire

All Recruits are encouraged to wear casual attire.
​Don't worry, it's not dress to impress, but dress to express... yourselves, that is! 

Time for Formal Rush ​

  • Alpha Chi seeks to enrich the lives of their members through its positive programs. We emphasize the academic, social, cultural, spiritual, and service phase of the college experience. We believe the earlier the student has an opportunity to participate in such programs the better!
  • Our members help assist students to make friends quickly, adjust to college life, and become oriented on campus.
  • Alpha Chi provides the opportunity to experience the security of belonging, support, encouragement, and guidance.
  • Joining Alpha Chi at the beginning of your college career provides its members a longer period to work together. This is a benefit because our members will help prepare and teach valuable skills they've learned along the way. These skills can be used within the sorority, classes, community service and other organizations within the Chico community. 
  • Conclusion: Joining Alpha Chi provides more advantages and benefits than any other plan.
