Alumni Executive Officers

Cyndi Rachel
President

Picture
Cyndi has been an active alumni member since graduating from Chico State in 2004. She has continued to be involved in the sorority either as a member of the alumni association at large, or by serving on the Alumni Executive Board.

As a charter school administrator in Northern California, Cyndi has found that her AX lessons have played an integral part in her professional life.  Through her time with Alpha Chi she has learned skills of time management, interpersonal skills, and how to efficiently run a business meeting. When she first considered joining Alpha Chi, she had no idea what a huge part of her life it would become.

Cyndi and her family currently live in Sutter County.  She loves being close enough to Chico to participate in AX functions often.

Rowlan Brown Rehmann
Vice President

Rolawn B. Rehmann is a Fall ’73 Alpha Chi who parlayed her love of writing into a 30-year career in corporate communications.  She has great memories of her time at Chico State which led her to relocate from Knoxville, TN to nearby Paradise, CA., where she now lives with her husband Chris and their golden doodle Franklin.

Most of her career was spent in Atlanta, Ga.,  where she rose to General Manager, Corporate Communications at Delta Air Lines; then on to Cox Communications, where she rose to Director, Customer Service Communications.

Widowed in 2006 she met Chris Rehmann in the Atlanta airport and in 2012 they married and followed his Engineering career to Knoxville, TN.

They recently survived the Camp Fire in Paradise and miracle upon miracle their house survived as did their church. Now their emphasis is restoration of 3+ acres of manicured gardens, bridges and irrigation; locating and providing support for the 800 or so members of their once thriving parish community; restoration of the town of Paradise and support of the town council as active/activist citizens; and help to  ensure a thriving Alpha Chi.

As newly minted AX Alumni V.P. Rolawn’s goals are to:
  • be a good listener and bridge builder;
  • blend the best of the new with the old;
  • focus the accomplishments of both the active and alumni chapters so that we can better leverage the women empowerment revolution of today to ensure a thriving relevant sorority.

Katie Brandt
Membership

Katie pledged in the Fall of 2014. She held many positions including Membership, President and Pledge Captain. Katie attended Butte College and then transferred to Chico State. She was very passionate about Alpha Chi, but she also spent her time with SHRM and the Chico State Ballroom Dance Club.

Katie loved giving back to the Chico community, she volunteered on Cesar Chavez Day and with the Torres Shelter helping the homeless with their resumes. Being in Alpha Chi helped her throughout college and in other clubs, but she always remained loyal to her Alphies. Katie graduated in Spring 2019 with a bachelor’s in business administration with an option in Management.

Katie was elected Alumnae Membership in Fall 2020. Currently, Katie works at her family’s car dealership in the Bay Area. Katie enjoys cooking, baking, snow skiing and spending time with her family and boyfriends family and cat Smokey.
