She held several positions including Sergeant at Arms, Rush Chair, Social Chair, and AX Pioneer Week Committee Chair positions. Later she went on to hold the position of Alpha Chi Alumni President, and in 2014 was elected to the position of Alpha Chi Alumni Vice President. Teri culminated her 4 years as AX Alumni VP with what she considers one of her greatest contributions to the sorority.... The October 2018 Centennial Celebration of Alpha Chi's founding, when nearly 200 Alumni from all generations and walks of life gathered in Chico to celebrate our sorority and our sisterhood.
Her mother likes to tell people Teri "majored in Alpha Chi" during her years at Chico State. So, it's no surprise that Teri turned the event planning, organizational, and management skills she learned as a member of Alpha Chi into a 20 year-long career in the Travel and Meetings & Hospitality Industry. The last thirteen years were spent as the Director of Operations for one of Southern California's premiere Destination Management Companies. During that time, Teri earned the coveted designations of Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and Destination Management Certified Professional (DMCP), only earned by leaders in the field.
In 2023, Teri took on the new AX Alumni position of Secretary. She's looking forward to sharing her experience, memories, and knowledge with the Alpha Chis of the past, present and the future.
When she's not working Teri enjoys spending time with family and friends in her hometown of Seal Beach, as well as entertaining, reading, cooking, wine tasting, and training for the various trail races she participates in with her sister and niece, who are also Alpha Chi Alumni.
